ALREADY ENROLLED

You paid. You are not flying. And nobody at the school will give you a straight answer.

This is not rare and it is not your fault. What you need now is not another opinion — it is to know what your contract actually lets you do, and what staying, switching and leaving each cost.

If any of this sounds familiar

  • The aircraft you were meant to fly has been in maintenance for weeks, and nobody will say when it returns to the line.
  • Your instructor left mid-course, and you are now somewhere in a queue for a replacement.
  • There is a wait for the skill test that the school does not acknowledge exists.
  • The total has grown since you signed — landing fees, exam resits, seasonal rates, a clause you read past.
  • Your emails are answered in days now, or not at all.
  • You are being asked to sign an amendment, quickly, and it is not clear what it changes.

None of it means you chose badly. Training schedules slip across this industry every winter. What separates people who get out of this well from people who do not is almost never how angry they were. It is whether they understood their own contract before they made a decision.

There are three ways this ends

Every version of this situation resolves into one of them. The work is turning each into a number before you choose, rather than after.

1

You stay and finish

The real cost is not the remaining invoice. It is the invoice plus the months.

2

You switch schools and carry your hours

Portable in principle. What travels is flight time and exams, not money already paid.

3

You stop and recover what is recoverable

Usually the smallest number, and the one people find hardest to look at.

Cost all three, including the one you have already dismissed. People in this position tend to choose by how they feel about the school, and that pushes towards leaving more often than the arithmetic does. Sometimes leaving is right. You want to know which case you are in.

Send us your contract and your dates

We read it and write back with what your agreement actually says about duration, refunds, price changes and your records — and what each of the three ways out would cost in your case. One email, written by a person, no call required.

  • Your training contract, and any amendment you have signed since.
  • The date you started, and the date the course was estimated to end.
  • How many hours you have flown, and how many the course requires.
  • What has actually gone wrong, in your own words.

Whatever you send us stays between us. We do not contact your school, and we do not pass your name to anyone without asking you first. If you would rather not use a form, write to info@skyboundbridge.com instead.

What this page is not

It is not legal advice. We are not lawyers, we do not represent you, and nothing here is a substitute for a qualified opinion on your contract under the law that governs it. It is not a guarantee that money can be recovered, because in many of these situations it cannot.

It is also worth saying plainly how this site is paid for. The rest of what we do — helping people who have not enrolled yet choose where to train — is free to them because academies pay us when someone enrols. If switching turns out to be your answer and you enrol somewhere through us, we may be paid by that academy, and we will tell you so before you decide anything. If you stay or you stop, nobody pays us at all.
